Extern has developed a partnership with the HSE in the Mid-West to work with people with disabilities or autism for EOSS.

This service predominantly works with people who have a disability or autism and who may find it challenging to integrate into traditional social, educational and community systems.

EOSS abide by New Directions principles, as set out by the HSE, to offer an innovative, individualised programmes to all the people referred to us.


  • To be needs led, creative, flexible and have a responsive-approach.
  • To listen to and encourage service users to make choices and decisions that affect their lives
  • To support service users to be active, independent members of their own communities through a person-centred approach.
  • Improve personal functioning and inclusion in service user’s local community.
  • Support access to education and employment
  • Develop personal and social supports
  • Promote health and wellbeing


The people we support can expect a combination of the following:

  • Individual outreach work
  • Integration into community networks
  • Special interest activities
  • Day trips
  • Overnights
  • Day care support
