The Independent Visitor programme offers one-to-one support for children and young people who are in care or have had experience with the Trust’s care support services.

The role of the Independent Visitor is to “assist, advise and befriend” through building positive and supportive relationships with individuals, independent of the Trust.

The service is provided in both the Northern and Southern sector of the WHSCT, and the referral pathway is through the Trust’s statutory review process for young people.
