Extern’s SAFE Together project has been supporting individuals and families who have been bereaved by suicide across the Greater Shankill since 2006.  We know from our experience that people need different supports at different times.

Losing someone you love and care about to suicide can be life changing It can lead to the bereaved person feeling the need to isolate themselves from friends, family and the wider community and they are sadly at a higher risk of attempting suicide themselves.

By listening to families bereaved by suicide the SAFE family have developed and delivered a range of services to support bereavement recovery
