We welcome the publication of the UK Gambling White Paper, which will play a central role in ensuring that gambling operators can reduce the risks associated with problem gambling and provide safer and more transparent services for players.

As we know from our work supporting people with problem gambling issues across the Republic of Ireland and Northern Ireland, having a properly defined framework for regulation of the industry is crucial to ensuring that those who face gambling-related harms are given as much protection as possible.

As we await the arrival of gambling regulation in both ROI and NI, we look forward to seeing how the measures outlined in this White Paper will impact positively upon the gambling industry in Great Britain and, most importantly, those whose lives are affected by problem gambling.
