About the role

Make a real difference in the lives of young people and help shape safer, stronger communities. As a Youth Justice Worker within the Youth Diversion Project (YDP), you will play a vital role in supporting young people aged 8–18 who are at risk of anti-social or criminal behaviour. Working with those facing complex challenges, you will deliver tailored interventions, creative programmes, and positive activities that encourage personal growth, resilience, and stronger connections with their communities.

This dynamic, community-based role involves collaborating with multi-agency partners, families, and local organisations to design meaningful opportunities that promote pro-social behaviour, civic responsibility, and improved long-term life prospects. Through innovative programmes and supportive guidance, you will empower young people to recognise their potential and move toward brighter, more positive futures.

Through tailored interventions, practical on-the-ground support, and strong partnerships with families, social workers, and community services, you will help stabilise placements, build resilience, and support positive pathways for young people facing significant challenges. Your work will play a vital role in helping young people stay connected to their communities and move toward safer, more stable futures.

About the role

Lead services that make a lasting difference for young people and families. As a Service Manager, you will oversee community-based programmes that aim to prevent young people entering care, support foster or community placements, and help those returning from residential care or custody successfully reintegrate.

Managing a team that delivers intensive, holistic support and responsive respite services, you will ensure programmes are innovative, effective, and responsive to the needs of young people and families. Working closely with statutory agencies and community partners, you will also play a key role in developing partnerships, managing risk, and shaping future services to meet emerging needs across the region.
