Supported by the Public Health Agency and Belfast City Council, our team harnesses their specialised expertise to assist businesses and stakeholders within the city centre in effectively managing challenges associated with injecting drug use.

In 2024–25, the team supported 1,563 people, delivering vital frontline engagement and harm reduction support across the community.
One of our key initiatives involves the diligent collection and safe disposal of improperly discarded injecting equipment, contributing to a safer environment for everyone.
As part of our proactive approach, the project extends support to service users by providing Naloxone, a crucial medication designed to counteract the effects of opioids.
In the event of an overdose, the swift administration of Naloxone offers a vital window for intervention.
This intervention, when timely, can potentially avert fatalities caused by respiratory failure, providing essential time for paramedics to arrive and offer life-saving assistance.
