About the role

The Project Worker delivers the Janus Justice programme, providing intensive one-to-one support to young people aged 12–18 across Limerick, Clare and surrounding areas who are involved in or at risk of offending behaviour.

Working with a small caseload, you will provide tailored, relationship-based interventions through Janus Justice to reduce risk, address underlying needs, and support positive behavioural change. The role involves close collaboration with families and key agencies including Gardaí, Tusla, Probation Services, Court Services and Oberstown.

Janus Justice is a dynamic, trauma-informed programme focused on building trust, strengthening relationships, and supporting young people to develop pro-social skills and positive community connections.

We are seeking a compassionate, resilient practitioner who can engage young people who are often hard to reach and is motivated by meaningful, lasting impact.

About the role

Join Extern’s Multidisciplinary Homeless Support Team and make a real difference to people rebuilding their lives.

As a Key Worker in our Floating Support service, you’ll work directly with individuals and families experiencing homelessness, complex needs, and those recently granted Refugee status in Northern Ireland. Supporting people in their own homes, you’ll provide practical help, holistic assessments, care planning, and ongoing advocacy to help them settle, integrate, and thrive in their communities.

Working in partnership with statutory and voluntary agencies, you’ll use a trauma-informed, harm reduction approach to build trust, manage risk, and support positive, sustainable change where it matters most.

About the role

Extern’s MUST Hostel supports adults experiencing homelessness, many of whom are living with complex mental health, substance use, and justice-related challenges. This is a role for someone who wants to be part of meaningful, hands-on work that supports real change in people’s lives.

As a Key Worker, you will work directly with residents, building trusting relationships and providing consistent, intensive support in a structured residential setting. You’ll help people stabilise, reduce risk, and take practical steps towards independence and a safer future.

Working alongside partner agencies, you’ll be part of a team supporting people to move forward, rebuild confidence, and transition towards independent living in the community.

About the role

Are you passionate about supporting people to overcome barriers, build resilience and create positive change in their lives?

Extern is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Project Worker to join our Outreach Support Service, supporting individuals across North Cork and Kerry. This is an opportunity to make a meaningful difference by working alongside people facing complex challenges, helping them access the support, opportunities and confidence they need to move forward.

We are looking for someone who brings a trauma-informed, person-centred approach to their work and who can build trust with individuals who may be reluctant to engage with services. You will be creative, adaptable and solutions-focused, with the ability to respond to changing circumstances and support people in a way that recognises their strengths, experiences and aspirations.

As part of a supportive team based in Limerick, you will provide outreach support within local communities while benefiting from the flexibility of a hybrid working model, including opportunities to work from home.
