Support Extern this Autumn by trekking to the top of Slieve Donard in aid of the Safe Haven Appeal! 

Slieve Donard is not only the highest peak of the Mourne Mountains, at a whopping 2789ft, it is also the highest peak in Northern Ireland. The hike is 9km long and will take you approximately 4-6 hours. 

On a clear day you’ll be rewarded with extraordinary views of the Isle of Man, Wicklow, Donegal, Wales, as well as the long sands of Newcastle Beach! 

All sponsorship raised through the challenge will go towards our Safe Haven Appeal.

Our Safe Havens support thousands of families across Ireland who may be struggling due to mental health issues, problem addictions or who are facing family breakdown or homelessness. 

Sadly, right now, lots more children need our help. Our referrals are increasing, and many more young people are waiting for a respite break and our ongoing support.
