Walking is a great challenge, as almost anyone can do it!

The challenges available across the globe vary in difficulty and range from something for the complete beginner to those looking for an extreme hike at altitude.  

From the stunning Peruvian highlands to the awesome architecture of the Great Wall of China, or the incomparable natural beauty of the Grand Canyon. Or, if you’d prefer, you can undertake a trekking challenge a little closer to home, such as the Brecon Beacons and the Peak District.  

Together we can find you the perfect trek, to help you create memories you’ll be able to look back on for the rest of your life.

Cycles 

If you’re a cycling enthusiast, or simply looking for a new adventure, a cycling challenge is a great way to see all the exotic locations the world has to offer.  

Have you ever wanted to cycle from Vietnam to Cambodia? From one Costa Rican coastline to another, finishing up at the Caribbean? Or stay closer to home and cycle from London to Paris?  

You will cover hundreds of miles in just a few days and test yourself to the limit, raising vital funds for Extern in the process.

Have you ever dreamt of speeding across the snow on a sled drawn by a pack of magnificent huskies? Then this unique experience might be for you!  

While there are many countries where you can walk and cycle, there are only a few parts where dog sledding is possible. The challenge commences in Tromso, Norway, and winds through 250km of wondrous, Scandinavian forest before finally arriving at the world-famous Ice Hotel in Jukkasjarvi, Sweden. 

And if sledding with huskies wasn’t enough excitement, you will also survive in a winter wonderland, where you can watch the Northern Lights by campfire.
