The weather may not have been great, but the rain certainly failed to dampen the spirits of the hundreds of runners who turned out to take part in the 10k and 5k runs and walks. Even amid the downpours, the tranquil surroundings of Shanes Castle provided an inspiring backdrop for the participants.

Officially opened in 1997, Roscor Youth Village in Co Fermanagh caters for children and young people through a variety of programmes, including Time Out and Summer Camp. In that time, Roscor has changed the lives of over 40,000 children who have been supported by Extern.

While at Roscor, children are given the opportunity to enjoy more than 50 fun water and land-based activities, which act as a conduit for the delivery of life-changing psychological and social care interventions by Extern’s experienced staff.

By taking part in the Run for Roscor our supporters have not only helped raise vital funds to keep Roscor going, but are raising awareness of the site and the great work it does each and every day to help change young people's lives.

Don't forget, we also have the 2019 Dambusters race coming up on Saturday, August 17th, this time against the breathtaking backdrop of the beautiful Silent Valley, amid the Mourne Mountains in Co Down.
