Extern today welcomed Health Minister Robin Swann and Mayor Brian Tierney to our Community Crisis Intervention Service in Derry/Londonderry.

We would like to acknowledge and thank the Minister for the £32K funding extension for the service he announced this morning. This will enable CCIS to continue to offer its life-saving supports to people across the city during this time of exceptional need.

This vital funding is acknowledgement of how important this Service has become to the city, to those people experiencing a crisis, and to colleagues in other statutory and emergency services across the city.

Crucially it provides time for The Executive, Derry and Strabane District Council and other agencies to work together to find a way to secure a sustainable future for this most important and needed life-saving service.
