Step forward for Extern  

Join #TeamExtern to run, jog, walk or wheel the Mash Direct 41st Belfast City Marathon, where you will take in historic sights of Belfast with incredible support of crowds to cheer you on! 

Choose between: 

• The full marathon / wheelchair race  
• Team relay
• 8 Mile walk  

The relay is a great event to challenge your friends, family or work colleagues, whilst having fun and raising much needed funds for charity. You’ll be joined by around 2,400 others in teams of 2-5 people to each take on a leg of the iconic race, ranging from 4 miles to 6.9 miles. 

By taking part in the marathon, not only will you improve your fitness, your physical and mental health but you will have a sense of achievement knowing that you're making a big difference to the lives of local people in need right now.  

The 2023 Marathon route takes in the 4 areas of Belfast; North, South, East and West, starting at Stormont Estate and finishing in Ormeau Park. It will follow the same route as the Wheelchair Race and the Team Relay Event.

Finish:  Ormeau Park
