Here’s just a few examples of some of our teams rising to the challenge and supporting our communities.
David Bradford is Project Coordinator with Extern’s Intensive Home Support Service, which provides intensive support, seven days a week, within a domestic setting, at times when families are in most need. Read more
Emily McCusker is Project Coordinator for Extern’s Cavan Traveller Primary Health Care Programme. Staffed by members of the Traveller Community itself, we aim to improve the health outcomes of members of the Traveller Community in County Cavan Read more
Jason Whatley is Project Manager with Extern’s Cookstown-based MUST Hostel, which offers accommodation, support and help, tailored to the specific needs of single people aged 18-65 who are homeless. Read more
Lauren McCann is a Harm Reduction Drug and Alcohol Outreach Worker, in Extern’s Southern Low Threshold team, which continues to work during the coronavirus lockdown with people whose lives are impacted by problematic drug and alcohol use. Read more
Martina Conn-Garayova is a Key Worker with Extern’s Linx project which works with young people and their parents/carers to improve their relationships, to reduce the likelihood of family breakdown, and to help young people to remain in their home, school and local community Read more
Rebeca Martin-Greenwood is Assistant Manager of Extern’s Alcohol Housing Support Team, which is continuing to work during the lockdown with adults in Belfast who are at risk of homelessness as a result of their chronic or severe alcohol use Read more
Sharon Hartwell is a project worker with Extern’s Positive Learning project, which provides vocational training to people who find themselves on the margins of society. Read more
Tim Gaston, is a project worker with Extern’s Janus Team in Dublin South Central. The Janus programme works intensively on a one-to-one basis with young people aged 10-17 years who need extra support. Read more
