| Extern works directly with children, adults and communities affected by social exclusion throughout Ireland.
In the early days we worked mostly with ex-offenders - we still do and are proud of our commitment to the most vulnerable adults in our community. Times have changed though and over the years the majority of our work is with children and families. Society and government now realises the importance of tackling exclusion and preventing young people getting on the treadmill of poverty, unemployment and crime.
